Mr. Roger Dale Baker, age 65, of Manchester, TN, passed
away on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at his residence.
Roger was born in Franklin Co., TN to his late parents Lloyd Baker and
Margaret Roach Baker. He was an employee with PCA for 15-20 years and was
also an employee of WISCO for 10 years. Roger’s main passion was riding his
Harley Davidson motorcycle. Besides his motorcycle, he loved fishing and
hunting, was a 2nd degree blackbelt,  had a great sense of humor and was a
jokester. Roger never knew a stranger and loved everyone he met and loved
his family & friends dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by brothers, Ray Baker, Jerry Baker, and Pat Baker.
Roger is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deborah Temple Baker; sons,
Benji (Alisha) Baker and Jesse Baker; brother, Glen Baker; sister, Mary
Kimbril; sister-in-law, Freida Baker; grandchildren, Tia Baker, Ethan
Baker, Eli Baker, Kannon Baker, Braxton Baker, Ashtyn Lewis, Makayla &
Malaiah Qualls, several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 4:00pm until
8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be
conducted on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, from the chapel of Central
Funeral Home with Lloyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Concord
Cemetery.

Doris Irene “Dorene” Adcock Jernigan, 93, long-time resident of Manchester,
TN, passed away on Monday morning, October 12, 2020 while visiting her
daughters: Junice Stanley of Hendersonville and Regenia Wheeler of Madison,
TN.

Dorene was born February 25, 1927 in Rutherford County, TN, the daughter of
the late Ed Elam Adcock and Maggie D Arnold Adcock. She was preceded in
death by her husband of forty-one years, Eugene W. Jernigan, a World War II
Veteran in the US Marine Corp. He was a politician and she worked
tirelessly to support his campaigns for Vice-Mayor and Mayor of Manchester.
Dorene was a saleswoman in Henley’s dress shop, and in later years, they
owned and operated E.W. Jernigan Heating and Air Conditioning in
Manchester, TN.

 Dorene was also preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Ruth Adcock
Evans and Arnold Evans from Nashville, TN; two brothers and their wives
from Murfreesboro, TN, Charles L and Briley Queen Adcock and Eddie K. and
Mary Nell Briley Adcock.

Dorene will be loved and missed by her surviving three daughters: Sandra
Jernigan Levent in Roswell, GA, Junice Stanley (Charles, deceased) in
Hendersonville, TN, and Regenia Wheeler (Fred, deceased) in Madison, TN;
three grandchildren: Stacey L. Bryan in Hendersonville, TN, Trey
Guntherberg in Cumming, GA, and Natalie C. Wheeler in Madison, TN; one
great-granddaughter: C. Brooke Steen in Hendersonville, TN; one niece:
Anita Carol Evans Boyd from Nashville, TN; and one nephew: Billy Joe Adcock
in Murfreesboro, TN.

Dorene moved to Roswell, GA to live with her daughter, Sandra Levent, in
2012, where she was an integral part of providing needs for homeless women
at the Heartseekers Women’s Shelter. She was a proud member of the Johnson
Hall Sunday School class at Manchester First United Methodist Church as
well as a member of Wesley Wanderers senior group. She leaves a legacy of
good will and genuine concern for others. She had a sign in her home, “Love
God, Love People,” and that she did.

A graveside service, which will be at Evergreen Cemetery at 519 Greenland
Drive, Murfreesboro, TN, will be announced on the Manchester Funeral Home
website.

Fruehauf, David E. (Dave) USAF, Ret. 83, of Lynchburg passed away October 10th, 2020, at home, with his loving family by his side. Dave was the eldest son of the late Eugene and Jean Fruehauf of Buffalo, New York. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a distinguished and highly decorated pilot flying the SR-71 Blackbird and recipient of the following: The Distinguished Flying Cross (2), The Air Medal (4), Meritorious Service Medal (4), just to name a few. Later in his Air Force career he served in numerous command roles. After retiring from 23 years of Air Force service Dave continued his aviation career as a test pilot at Groom Lake, Nevada aka (Area 51). He succeeded at everything he set his sights on. In 1985, Dave moved to Lynchburg, TN, which is where he dug his roots. He continued his work serving his country in the defense industry in Huntsville, AL commuting 100 miles each day. In 1999 he “officially” retired and then became busier than ever. First with his association in the HSV Botanical Society, HSV Fern Society at which time he became a Master Gardener then serving the Moore County Jail Museum as a guide. This is where Dave realized his calling as an “ambassador” for Lynchburg. He enjoyed talking to anyone who would listen and the farther away they lived the more time he wanted to spend with them. He never met a stranger. Rarely has there been a day that Dave would not be seen on the “square” walking his beloved dogs, fittingly named, Whiskey, his black lab mix and most recently, “Jack”, his best friend over the last 10 years. Anyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path came away with the belief that they had just met someone special. He never stopped learning, if something peaked his interest, he did not stop until he became an authority on the subject. He then wanted to share that knowledge, with again…..anyone who would listen. Dave is survived by his wife, Wanda Hopkins Fruehauf, of 25 years, Sons- Eric (Wendy) Fruehauf of Lynchburg, David Fruehauf of Las Vegas, NV, Daughters- Karen Fruehauf of Las Vegas, NV, Teresa (Steve) Stewart, Cynthia (Jerome) Moore both of Knoxville, Grandchildren- Elizabeth (Kohl) Rogers, Scott Fruehauf both of Lynchburg, Peyton Bennett of Knoxville, Callie Moore of Knoxville, Brad (Jessica) Stewart of Knoxville, Lindsey McMillen of Knoxville, Wyatt Fruehauf of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Fruehauf of Las Vegas, NV, Bother- Paul (Diane) Fruehauf of N. Martha Lee Tripp Hazelwood of Tullahoma passed this life on October 9th, 2020 at NHC Healthcare at the age of 91.  Mrs. Hazelwood was born in Moore County on August 30, 1929 to the late Oscar and Mamie Sawyer Tripp. She was a long-time member of the Grundy Street Church of Christ.  A main priority was her church and the love of the Lord.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lewis Hazelwood; sister, Elaine Moorehead; brothers, John Tripp and Wallace Tripp; and one grandchild, Taylor Hazelwood. Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by three sons, David Hazelwood and his wife Lorry of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Gary Hazelwood and his wife Sherry of Lynchburg, and Andy Hazelwood and his wife Christy of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Jessica Orozco and her husband Joseph, Jodi Lively, Garrett Hazelwood, Will Hazelwood, Zenayda Garcia and Ana Ortiz; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Josiah Orozco; sister Sue Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mom was always there for her family and rarely missed an event involving her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed seeing all her grandchildren who affectionately called her Nana.  She will be remembered by them for her unconditional love and support.  Dad and Mom, who he called “Shorty”, married just before he entered the Marines and they moved to North Carolina. When they returned to Tullahoma, they built Lewis’ Gulf with dad specializing in auto mechanics, welding, and 24-hour wrecker service and Mom helping with the daily bookkeeping and the on-call dispatch. She had a “green thumb” and was an avid flower and vegetable gardener with a lifetime love of plants. She also enjoyed Reader’s Digest, word search and jigsaw puzzles. Her love of animals led her to allow her grandchildren to bring baby goats and chickens in her house.  Her dog, Rusty, was a great source of enjoyment and a good companion. Her legacy will continue in many loving ways such as her wonderful handwritten recipes.  One could never stop by her house without being offered something to eat.  She spent her final years at NHC in her “apartment” as she called it.  The NHC staff took incredible care of her and the family expresses their deepest thanks for the compassion, kindness and respect shown to Mom.  Our mother is that special person in our life, without whom we would not be who we are today.  So, we acknowledge the love and dedication of our mother who raised us to understand the values of love, respect, and self-sufficiency. We give thanks to God for our mother–a sacred treasure to behold.  A private graveside service for the family will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, 331 Great Circle Road, Nashville, TN  37228.

Funeral services for Ms. Faye Morris Shannon, age 69 years, 4 months, and 4
days, of Manchester, will be conducted on* Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 2
PM* in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Welker
Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12 Noon until time
of service on* Tuesday* at the funeral home. Ms. Shannon passed away on
Thursday, October 8 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester.

 Ms. Shannon was born on June 4, 1951, in Tullahoma, TN to the late Earl
and Kathrine Robertson Morris. She was a homemaker who loved to work
crossword puzzles, writing poetry, and is said to be an accomplished
seamstress.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Shannon is preceded in death by her loving
husband, Wayne Shannon; infant son, Jeffery Shannon; brothers, Oliver, and
Charles Morris; sisters, Mary Wells and Frances Crow. She is survived by
her son, Gregory Shannon; daughter, Tammy Hoover and her husband, Chris;
grandchildren, Lindsey Knight, Haley and Ali Hoover, August, Tyler, and
Kaydan Shannon; brothers, Hubert Morris and his wife, Mary, and Robert
Morris and his wife, Judy; sister, Joyce Hill; brother-in-law, Robert Crow;
several nieces and nephews and extended Shannon and Morris family members.

Janice Gail Johnson of Winchester passed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the age of 72. There are no services scheduled at this time.

Mr. Richard Keith Tomlin, age 56, of Manchester, TN,
passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Tomlin was born in Fayetteville, TN, to his parents Jack McKinley
Tomlin and Annie Lou Frame Tomlin. He was a full time Army National
Guardsman, ranking as Sergeant First Class, where he served in Iraq for 1
year. Mr. Tomlin worked at Bridgestone for 28 years before retiring from
there. He loved playing golf with his two sons, watching The Andy Griffith
Show, chicken farming and loved doing yardwork trying to make his lawn look
the best. In earlier years, Mr. Tomlin volunteered his time as a coach to
ball leagues, which included coaching his two sons. He had a huge heart,
was a humble person, and loved his family dearly. Mr. Tomlin was preceded
in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Louise Tomlin and Rufus and Mary
Jane Frame.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tomlin is survived by his wife of 30 years,
Rebecca Tomlin; two sons, Benjamin Tomlin and Matt (Olivia) Tomlin; two
brothers, Darrell Tomlin and John (Melissa) Tomlin; half-brothers, Randy
and Doug Neely; sisters, Jackie (Bill) Nelms and Melody Brown;
grandchildren, Ibi Ezell and Ella Grace Tomlin; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 4:00pm
until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services
will be conducted on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at 2:00pm in the chapel of
Central Funeral Home in Manchester.
