Lady Raiders Fall But State Championship Hopes Still Alive
It was a great battle between Coffee County and Soddy Daisy on Thursday night in the TSSAA state tournament. Going into the bottom of the 6th the Lady Trojans who had only one hit in the game got the bats going. Soddy pushed across 4 runs to take a 4-0 lead into the 7th. Gateway Tire player of the game Chelsea Howell hit a bomb to centerfield to cut the lead to 4-1 and that’s the way the game would end. Coffee County will play Daniel Boone High School today at 10am with winner advancing to play Soddy Daisy at 6:30 in game 1 of a possible 2 for the state championship. The if necessary game is set for Saturday morning. Join Thunder Radio for live coverage this morning beginning at 9:55am.
