Bulluck Retires A Titan
Bulluck, who played a total of 11 seasons with the Titans from 2000 to 2009 and the New York, signed a contract with Tennessee and will retire as a Titan.
Bulluck was a mainstay in the Titans lineup for the better part of a decade and was one of the club’s most durable players.
Originally a first-round pick by the Titans in the 2000 NFL Draft, Bulluck concludes his career as the third all-time leading tackler in Titans/Oilers history.
8/7/12 — Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne Lightfoot
Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne Lightfoot, age 51 of Decherd, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 peacefully at his residence.
Jeffrey enjoyed riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle, spending time with his family, and building cabinets.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Vernie Marie Lightfoot.
He is survived by his wife, Karrie Lightfoot of Decherd; children, Sammy (Jennifer) Lightfoot of Decherd, Jon Lightfoot of Winchester, Chris Lightfoot of Decherd, and Katie Lightfoot of Decherd; grandchildren, Triston, Dustin, McKenzie, Thomas, Elizabeth, Damian, Jessica, and Chasti Hall; sisters, Gale (Danny) McGowan of Tullahoma, and Tina Kirk of Decherd; brothers, Dale (Debbie) Lightfoot of Big Sandy, TN, and Danny Lightfoot of Chattanooga.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 2 PM from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Winchester Memorial Park with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2012 from 5-9 PM at Watson-North Funeral Home.

8/6/12 —Timothy (Tim) L. Smith, Jr.
Timothy “Tim” Smith Sr. age 50 of Huntland, passed away August 4, 2012 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Smith enjoyed fishing, hiking, gardening and collecting antiques. In his spare time he enjoyed watching TV especially westerns and The Tennessee Volunteers. He loved cooking and spending time with his grandkids and his family. His sisters say he cooked a meal better than they did.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Smith; father and mother – in – law, William and Frances Forsythe; nieces, Melinda Judge and Amanda Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Mary Smith of Huntland; children, Timothy Lee Smith, Jr. of Huntland, Elizabeth (Steven) Sims of Huntland, Maria Pickett of Huntland, Olivia (Luke) McCurry of Lexie Crossroads, Heather (Ronnie) Chartier of Huntland; grandchildren, Maelee McCurry, Leah Pickett, Isabelle Sims, Jayden Pickett, Cooper McCurry and Chole McCurry; father, Leo Smith Sr.; brothers, Leo (Peggy ) Smith Jr. of Belvidere, Jerry (Brenda) Smith of Estill Springs; sisters, Judy (Frank) White of Manchester, Janet Smith of Belvidere, Wanda (Dennis) Judge of Tullahoma, Brenda (Mark) Porter of Gainesville, GA, Melody (Frank) Brown of Belvidere and Cindy (Ray) Jackson of Belvidere; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Amos and Bro. Tim Forsythe officiating.

Graveside services for Miah Elizabeth Elam, age 29 days of Manchester will be conducted Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Elam Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held, Wednesday August 8, 2012 from 11 AM – 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
Miah passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Medical Center of Manchester.
Miah was born July 5, 2012 in Tullahoma the daughter of Davion Elam and Lindsay McCormick, both of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Elam; great grandparents, Raymond Humphries and Wanda Heaton and great grandfather, Amon Junior McCormick.
In addition to her parents, Miah is survived by one brother K’bren James Elam of Manchester, grandmother, Anella Heaton of Tullahoma and grandparents, Melody McCormick and Amon Chip McCormick both of Manchester; great grandparents, Paul and Mary Elam of Manchester and Kathy and Michael Phillips of Manchester and Dorothy McCormick of McMinnville; great great grandparents, Aubrey and Lorenia McGhee of Manchester and Ervin and Juanita Phillips of Briceville, Tennessee; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

8/6/12 — Paul Lee Vaughn
Funeral services for Mr. Paul Lee Vaughn, age 75 of Manchester will be conducted at 11am, Monday, August 6 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Homer Layne officiating.
Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery.
Visitation with the Vaughn family will be from 5pm until 8pm, Sunday, August 5 at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mr. Vaughn passed away Friday afternoon in Manchester surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the son of the late Willis and Gertrude Tenpenny Vaughn.
During his life, Paul was a factory worker and also owned his own businesses which include the former Exxon Service Station on Hwy. 53 in Manchester. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tullahoma.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Emmitt Vaughn.

Letha D. York, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday August 4th, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 92.
Mrs. York was born in Decatur, Alabama to the late Samuel E. and Ammie Lou Dutton.
She married the late Monroe F. York in July of 1938 and became a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma in July of 1939. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. York was greeted at heaven’s door by four brothers and one sister; one granddaughter, Susan Snyder; and one great granddaughter, Caroline York Fuller.
She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Snyder and husband Jim of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mary Nell Carr and husband Fred of Madison, AL, and Debbie Gillem and husband Larry of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Stephanie Jimenez and husband Keith, Ruth Fuller and husband Barry, Leianne Carr, Rachel King and husband Brian, Adam Gillem and wife Caroline and Rebecca Ritchey and husband Brett; and five great grandchildren, Victoria, Connor, Collin, Gracie and Hayden.
Visitation for Mrs. York will be held on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 from 11:00am-2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Tullahoma with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Jay Lee Sisk, age 16 of Estill Springs, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012.
A student at Franklin County High School, he was the son of the late Barbara Lynn Nash Sisk and Ovie Sisk of Estill Springs.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Dustin (Lori) Nash of Tullahoma; half brother, Freddie Syler of Decherd; half sister, Cindy Syler of Shelbyville; and nephews, Dalton Syler and Alexander Nash.
Visitation is 5-9 PM Sunday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, August 6, 2012 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Ray Gardner officiating.

Ms. Linda Kay Stephens, age 39, of Tullahoma, passed away Wednesday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
A native of Tullahoma, she was the daughter of Bruce and Bonnie Stephens and Linda JoAnn Hulsey and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son; Joseph Baker, two daughters; Gatona Leighann Stephens and Kelsey Joyce Baker, two sisters; Dionnia Slythia Martin and Mellissa Ann Hice.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Sunday, in the chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
