4/23/14 —— Patricia Bobo Camp
Patricia Bobo Camp age 73 of Lynchburg passed away Monday April 21, 2014 at her residence.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Ben O. Bobo and Leta Stewart Bobo.
She was a retired school teacher at Tullahoma High School. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pat enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, reading, traveling, Easter Star, UMW, cooking, family get togethers, she loved music and dancing. She and her sister Helen Price had a business together called Designs by Bobo Flowering Arranging.
She is survived by her sons; Tony Camp and his wife Susan and David Camp and his wife Anita all of Lynchburg. Nephew Perry Price and his wife Suzette of Atlanta, sister; Helen Bobo Price and her husband Gerald of Fayetteville and granddaughters Kelsey and Kyleigh Camp and many nieces nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Camp.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Lynchburg Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 2 PM at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. A J Alderman officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund.

Exciting Night Of Sports On Monday (April 21)
Monday was a great day for Brianna Jones as Brianna threw a one-hit shutout to carry the Coffee County Lady Raiders to a 1-0 victory over Tullahoma. Coffee County’s only run came on a Lady Cat error.
Brianna racked up 14 strikeouts in win as the Lady Raiders improved to 18-11-1 on the season and 7-2 in District 8-AAA play. Jones kept Tullahoma hitless until the seventh inning when a single by Megan Grenier broke up her no-hit bid. Brianna was named the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game.
Bethany Baker led the offence with two hits.

Coffee County will host Columbia Tuesday night at 7pm.
The Red Raider soccer team hosted Columbia in a big district match at Carden-Jarrell Field on Monday night. The Lions got a goal in the 5th minute off a deflected save from Lafredo Ramirez and made it stand up in a 1 to 0 win over Coffee County. The Raiders played even with Columbia in the first half and even dominated the time of possession in the 2nd half but could never find the back of the net. Ramirez made 3 sterling saves in goal to keep Coffee County close, but shots off frame plagued the Red Raiders all night. Coffee County will play host to Warren County on Tuesday night in a no-district match. The kickoff will take place at 7:00 PM at Carden-Jarrell Field.
Westwood soccer punched their ticket to the conference tournament finals with an exciting 5 to 0 win over Fayetteville on Monday night. Paco Barrera had 2 goals for Westwood while Tyler Walker, Leo Botello and Julio Guzman each found the back of the net for the Rockets. Westwood advances to the Championship game at Riverside Christian in Fayetteville next Monday. Kick off will be at 7:15 PM.
Westwood softball traveled to Eagleville on Monday night and came home with a doubleheader sweep. In game #1, Raven Rogers struck out 10 batters and Danielle Baker was 3 for 3 on the night as the Lady Rockets softball team dumped Eagleville 12 to 2. Baker finished the game with 4 RBI for Westwood as Haley Miller was 2 for 3 with a double and Byanka Woods was 2 for 3 with 2 singles for the Rockets. In Game #2, Carlee Sullivan went the distance in the circle striking out 3 as Westwood stopped the Eagles 12 to 8. Avery Whitsett was 1 for 1 with 3 walks for the Lady Rockets, Byanka Woods had a triple and scored 3 times and Haley Miller was 1 for 2 with a double for Westwood. Westwood welcomes Community to Lady Rocket Field on Tuesday afternoon in a huge conference battle at 4:30 PM.
CHS Tennis had their best showing of the year as they traveled to Smyrna on Monday to face Stewarts Creek. In boys action, the Raiders claimed a 5-4 victory over Stewarts Creek. Kyle Johnson, Andrew Henley, Andy Stout and Trevor Ivey-Bodman were winners in singles play. The doubles team of Matt and Kyle Johnson were victorious in doubles play. In girls play, Coffee County blanked Stewarts Creek 9-0. Karlee Reed, Abby Ferrell, Alex Crossland, Maddie Taylor, Audra Schaffer and Kristen Shelton were winners in both singles and doubles play. The Tennis team will host their final home match of the year on Tuesday against White County at 4:00 PM.
Coffee County Central’s Haley Banks got personal bests in the shot put, long jump and 800M to finish in 2nd place in the sectional Pentathlon on Monday night at Riverdale. Banks’ finish qualified her for the state track meet as she compiled 2694 points. Karson Young finished in 8th place with 2,077 points and Lexee Miller came in 13th place with 1,946 points as 25 track athletes competed in the event. Banks threw 37’5” in the shot put, 14’ 8” in the long jump and 2:48 in the 800M.
Westwood and Coffee Middle welcomed Warren County to Willowbrook Golf Club on Monday for a 3 way match. In girls play, Coffee County edged Westwood by 1 stroke for 2nd place 121 to 122. Jacque Crossland of the Lady Raiders was low scorer with a 41. Jordan Green shot a 51 for Westwood. In boys play, Samuel Prater of Coffee Middle shot a 40 to lead all scorers but Warren County defeated the Raiders 184 to 194. Austin Farris had a 46 for Coffee County and Josh Perry finished with a 51. Dalton Maccanone and Jacob Garms each shot a 53 for Westwood. Westwood and Coffee Middle will travel to McMinnville Country Club to take on Warren County on Thursday in a match. The teams will tee off at 3:30.
The Coffee Middle baseball team sent 11 batters to the plate and scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning in route to a 10 to 0 win over White County on Monday night in the first round of the CTC baseball tournament. Alontae Taylor threw the 5 inning no-hitter as he struck out 4 batters and walked 7. The Raiders got a 2 RBI single from Cody Miller and RBI singles from Hunter Mann and Garrett Booth in the pivotal 3rd inning as the Warriors committed 3 errors and walked 2 Red Raiders to add to the misery. Nathaniel Tate finished with a double, a triple and 3 RBI to lead a 7 hit Raider attack. Coffee County will play in the second round on Wednesday night at 5 as they will take on the winner between South and North. That game will be played in Winchester.
Slight Decrease In Gas Prices
Gas prices are beginning to stabilize after going on a streak of more than 20 days of increases. Here in Coffee County prices have stayed the same at most places. In Manchester the low price for regular unleaded is $3.43 down one-cent from last week. In Tullahoma the low price is $3.42 down two-cents
“During the past week, gas price increases slowed until they finally stopped over the weekend,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, The Auto Club Group, AAA.
Sunday’s national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.67, 3 cents more than last week. Tennessee’s average of $3.49 is up one-cent from last week.
Early Voting Continues
Early voting in continuing in Coffee County. In Manchester you can vote early at the election commission office in the Coffee County Administrative Plaza from 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri and Saturdays from 8:30am-Noon. In Tullahoma voting can be done at the C.D. Stamps Community Center Mon.-Fri. 9am-4:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-Noon. Early voting runs through May 1 and Election Day is May 6.

Drug Take Back Day Is April 26
GOT DRUGS? The Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Take Back Initiative, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, Manchester City Police Department and the Tullahoma City Police Department present Drug Take Back Day.
Bring in your unused or expired prescription, over-the-counter, and/or veterinary medications for proper disposal. The event will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 from10 am to 2 pm at First Vision Bank 2134 Hillsboro Blvd in Manchester and Southern Community Bank 1400 N. Jackson St. in Tullahoma.
Distinguished Young Woman of Tennessee Joins Rock Creek Spring Clean
“We are excited that the Distinguished Young Woman (DYW) of Tennessee, Courtney Miller has partnered with us to help promote this fun spring clean,” said event organizer, Chad Marcum. “She will be a great asset to our team.”
The DYW program national competition will be held in Mobile, Alabama, June 26, 27, 28. Miller will represent Tennessee.
Miller will be graduating in May from Tullahoma High School and then will go to Motlow for general studies before transferring to MTSU where she will complete a degree in Business with a minor in Sports Management/Business.
“The Rock Creek Spring Clean is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to give back to my community while also making a positive impact on our local environment,” said Distinguished Young Woman of Tennessee, Courtney Miller.
To join the event, all you need to do is volunteer to remove trash and other debris from the creek. Participants will meet at 8am at the pavilion at Frazier McEwen Park to pick up supplies, receive instructions and join the games.
“I’ve seen the leadership she brings to the young people so having her involved with this project will only increase its success and visibility,” said Tullahoma Community Coordinator, Winston Brooks.
Other organizations helping to coordinate this event include Keep Coffee County Beautiful, Tullahoma Pride Foundation, Inter-Local Solid Waste Association, Parks and Recreation and Tullahoma Public Works.
After the cleanup, they will have a trash tally, prizes and picnic. Lunch will be provided to all who participate, and the Tullahoma Animal Shelter will have adoptable dogs available. Volunteers are encouraged to dress appropriately; bring your sun screen, bug spray, boots and waders if you have them.
Prizes to be given away include: a New Kayak, Google Chrome Casts, Professional Teeth Whitening kit from Glick and Woods Dentistry, Woodard’s Jewelers gift certificate, free car detail from Stan McNabb Automotive, and much more.
This event is great for families, church groups, scouts, school groups and anyone who wants to be a good steward of our environment and clean water.
Residual ACT Assessment Test At Motlow
Motlow College will administer the complete Residual ACT Assessment test on May 15, May 21 and June 12. The test will be given from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on May 21 and June 12, and on May 15 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The test will be administered in room 1046 of the Crouch Center on the Moore County campus. Applicants under 21 years of age planning to attend Motlow State Community College should register for the ACT Assessment. All applicants taking the ACT Assessment must have an admissions application on file prior to taking the test. Applicants are required to complete an application as soon as possible to be eligible for the test. Applicants must complete the ACT application and enclose a check/money order for $34.00 to be eligible. Picture identification is required on the day of the test. Any students who plan on attending another college must take the national ACT test or take the test on the campus of the prospective college, as scores for the Residual ACT Assessment test cannot be transferred to another college or university. 4/26/14 —- Raymond Henry Joellenbeck
Raymond Henry Joellenbeck, 81, of Tullahoma passed away on Saturday April 19, 2014, at his home.
Raised on a farm in Illinois, the army provided him passage to Germany where he stayed for 20 years, first in the service to his county, then working in construction and running a tavern. Germany is also where he met his future wife. He came back to the states in 1973 and worked as a machinist until his retirement in 1998. He was a dedicated member of the Tullahoma First Presbyterian Church serving as an elder, choir member, all around handyman, and even from the pulpit on occasions. He was a member of the Tullahoma Lions Club since April 2001 serving as its president twice.
He is survived by his wife Hildegard of 46 years and son J. Ray Joellenbeck.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11AM, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma followed by a reception.

4/20/14 —- Janet P. Adolf
Mrs. Janet P. Adolf, age 75 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Harton Regional Medical Center.
No services will be scheduled.
Mrs. Adolf was a native of Daiseytown, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Crestwell and one son, Reinhold Adolf Jr.
She is survived by her husband Reinhold Adolf of Tullahoma; two daughters, Jenny Muren and Denise Duncan-McDaniels, both of Arizona and six grandchildren.
4/21/14 —— Ramona Fay Ferguson
Graveside services for Ramona Fay Ferguson, age 73, of Manchester, will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dana Brooks officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.
Miss Ferguson passed away Friday evening, April 18, 2014, at Northside Health Care in Murfreesboro, TN.
She was born September 29, 1940 in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late Levoy B. Ferguson and Juanita Ferguson Crosslin.
She enjoyed reading and needle point and was a member of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two brothers, Don O. Ferguson and wife, Martha, of Albany, Georgia; Ronnie Crosslin and wife, Melanie, of Manchester, TN; and one sister, Diane Weatherford and husband David, of Canton, TX and several nieces and nephews.
