11/11/14 —- Hughlene Watson Frix

Hughlene Watson Frix of Tullahoma, passed away on Thursday, November 6th, 2014 and went home to see the Lord.

During her life she worked as a Sales Associate at the Parris Store in Tullahoma as well as J.C. Penny. She was all about making memories for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made a lot of memories over the years with everyone whose lives she touched. Now she is the whisper of the leaves when we walk down the street. She is the smell of certain foods, flowers picked, the fragrance of life itself. She is the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winters day. She’s the sound of rain that lulls you to sleep, and the colors of a rainbow. She is Christmas morning and lives inside of our laughter. She’s where we come from, our first home, and the map we follow with every step we take. She’s our first love, first friend, even our first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate us, not even death.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frix is preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Hugh “Ben Quick Sticks” Frix; and two sisters, Eloise McClung, and Sue Anderson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Guy Edwin Frix of Tullahoma; two sons, Guy Edwin “Eddie” Frix Jr. of Russellville, Arkansas, and Scott Frix of Franklin, Kentucky; one daughter, Marcella Leigh Frix of Tullahoma; two sisters, Loretta Beaube of Glencoe, Alabama, and Diane Butler of Grant, Alabama; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Frix will be held on Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Davidson officiating.
