William Ray Love
Mr. William Ray Love, age 90, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Love was born in Kodak, TN, to his late parents Marshall Howard Love
and Janie Iris Huffaker Love. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member
of the Free and Accepted Masons for 50 years, where he was very active. Mr.
Love worked at the Arnold Air Force Base as an instrument technician until
his retirement. In his free time, he loved woodworking, fishing, and UT
Football and Basketball. Mr. Love enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren and was a good, genuine person. He was also a faithful member
of First Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Wood, and brothers, Frank and Bob
Love.
Mr. Love is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lois Love; daughter,
Debbie (Dwight) Haggard; brother, Joe Love; sisters, Katherine (Alvin)
Southerland, Juanita Cochran, Frances Watson, Caroline Ramsey, and Sue
Carol; grandchildren, William Jason Haggard and Erin Elizabeth Haggard.
A memorial service for Mr. Love will be scheduled for a later date.

Robert “Rabbit” L. Taylor
Robert “Rabbit” L. Taylor, formerly of Tullahoma passed this life on
Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Manchester Health and Rehab at the age of
91. Graveside Services are scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 3 PM
at Maplewood Cemetery.
A native of Coffee County, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Lewis Taylor
and the late Hattie Taylor Brixey. He was a U S Army veteran and worked at
the Tullahoma Post Office for many years. He was a “Mr. Fix-it” and
enjoyed tinkering with things. He loved being with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George
“Red”, Walter, Fred, T L and Billy Ray Taylor; sisters, Reatha Taylor
Carroll and Geraldine Taylor Metz and half-sisters, Burnease Brixey Taylor
and Sibbie Brixey Johnson.
Mr. Taylor is survived by niece, Beverly Taylor Daniel of Tullahoma; great
nephew, Randy Daniel and his wife, Camilla of Tullahoma and many other
nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family has requested that anyone in attendance please wear masks and
practice social distancing according to COVID-19 guidelines.

James William Gann Jr
James William Gann Jr, formerly of Tullahoma passed this life on Wednesday,
December 9, 2020 at the age of 39. Graveside Services are scheduled for
Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 12 PM at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with
the family will be from 11 AM – 12 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
James was born in Nashville, the son of the late James William Gann Sr. and
the late of Sharon Hendricks Gann. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by brother, James Gann III.
He is survived by his daughters, Shakira Gann of Lynchburg and Courtney and
Cherish Gann, both of Hillsboro; sisters, Tabitha Brady (Rocky) of LA,
Sharon Rene Gann of Tullahoma and Jamie Lowe (Bobby) of LA; two
grandchildren, Rosalee and Izlah; family friend, Kristen Rhoton of
Hillsboro and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Revia Carol Simmons, age 57 of Manchester, will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester with Pastor Rick Clouse officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, Tennessee.
Visitation with the family will also be held at the church on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm
Ms. Simmons passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.
Gowen-Smith Chapel in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
Larry Wayne Hamby
Mr. Larry Wayne Hamby, age 85 passed away December 14, 2020 after a short battle with COVID-19. He was a native of Polk County, TN and lived the last 60 years in Manchester, TN.
Larry was a 1974 graduate of MTSU where he earned a Master’s degree. He was retired from Calspan Corp. at Arnold Engineering Development Center. Larry served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a 20-year veteran of the Army National Guard.
Larry was devoted to his family and served as a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and volunteering with Good Samaritan. As an avid deer hunter, he loved nothing better than climbing a tree and watching for the next buck to stroll by. His sense of humor will joyfully be remembered along with the kindness he exuded to everyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman W. Hamby and Lavada Hamby, and sister Grace Smith. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hilda; children, Kim (Ron) Stephenson, Russell (Renea) Hamby, Craig (Stacey) Hamby; grandchildren, Ryan Hamby, Jared Hamby, Philip Thompson, Olivia McKnight, Emily Hamby, Presley Hamby and great-grandchildren Ethan Hamby, Gage Hamby, Bradli Kate McKnight and soon to be Laney Thompson.
Services for Mr. Hamby of Coffee County will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Rodney Peterson
Rodney Peterson, more known simply as Rod (or Mustang), passed away from
this earth on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford hospital
in Murfreesboro, at the age 77 years, 4 months, and 22 days.
Rod loved spending time with his family and caring for and riding his
horses. Nothing made him happier than sharing his love for horses with
family and telling a good story at dinnertime. Rod traveled the country
many times over as a truck driver for nearly 60 years. During his travels,
Rod, who never met a stranger, made countless friends from coast to coast.
Rod is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Lovell Peterson; one
son, Scott Peterson and his wife, Khristi; one daughter, LeAnna Brown;
grandchildren, Josh Peterson and his wife, Holly, Dale Peterson, Lee Brown
and his wife, Margaret; great grandchildren, Cole Fowler, Gracie Fowler,
and Allison Brown; special niece, Michelle Phillips; and a host of friends.
Rod is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Virginia Lovell and
son-in-law, Ken Brown.
No services are planned at this time due to Covid.

George S Cox
George S Cox of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at
his residence at the age of 89. Arrangements are incomplete at this time
and will be announced later.
Mr. Cox, a native of Campti, LA, was the son of the late Ambrose and
Virginia Perot Cox. He was a U S Navy veteran, serving during the Korean
conflict. He enjoyed amateur radios and was a member of the Middle
Tennessee Amateur Radio Society. He also enjoyed restoring and working on
old vehicles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Penny
Cox; brothers, Carl, James, John, J C and Earl Cox and sisters, Mary Etta
Williford and Betty Smith.
Mr. Cox is survived by sons, Glenn Robert Cox and his wife, Connie of
Fayetteville, Kevin O Cox of Estill Springs, Brian G Cox and his wife,
Roseanna of Madison, AL and Jason B. Cox and his wife, Andrea of Charlotte,
NC, eight grandchildren and four great great grandchildren with one on the
way.
