Westwood Soccer Tops North on Friday in Non-Conference Friendly

The Westwood Middle School soccer team traveled to Winchester on Friday to take on North Franklin. Coming off a conference win on Thursday, the Rockets were attempting to keep the momentum going in the non-conference match. Westwood did just that as they roared to a 6 to 1 win.

John Martinez kept his hot scoring streak alive as he had 3 goals. Keiton Sherrill, Louie Frazier and Nico Sanfilipo each netted goals. Kevon Perigrino had 2 assists and Bodey Todd had a pair of saves in net.

In the JV game, the Rockets won 5 to 0 over the Gators. Caleb Cargile, Izick Sierra, Landon Lowery, Trevor Bellamy and Isaac Simmons all notched single goals for Westwood.

The Rockets will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Tullahoma. That match will get underway at 6 PM.
