CHS Golfers in the Hunt after Day #1 of State Golf Tournament

The Coffee County Lady Raider golf team will enter Wednesday’s final round of the TSSAA State Golf Tournament at Willowbrook in 4th place. The Lady Raiders shot a first round score of 157 to trail first place Clarksville who fired a 151. Ashley Gilliam had the low round for the Lady Raiders on Tuesday as she fired a 6 over par 78. Sophie Vinson had a 79 and Savannah Quick got an 80. As individuals, Gilliam enters the day in a tie for 10th place.
For the pair of Coffee County boys competing as individuals, the Willowbrook back 9 proved to a brutal start to their day. Starting on the back nine, Samuel Prater and John Parigger went out with +9 scores to put them in a hole. Prater finshed at +10 to end the dayin 51st place while Parriger finished at +11 to enter Day #2 in 55th place. Wednesday tee time are as follow:
