Myrtle Mae Swinney was born November 25, 1925 to the late Carl and Lela Pyle of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. The late Charles Swinney of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Myrtle were childhood sweethearts throughout school. After being married in Oklahoma, they moved and resided in Manchester, Tennessee. Myrtle was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Manchester. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was an outstanding cook and known for her pecan pies, egg nog pies, and German Chocalate Cakes were top shelf. She was a mother of a 1988 Olympic Shooting Team Member, Scott Swinney. She wanted her son to play the piano but her husband, Charles B. Swinney, introduced and supported their son in competitive shooting. Myrtle is survived by her son Scott Swinney. Preceded in death also by 2 brothers; Joe and Bill Pyle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the First Baptist Church, Manchester, Tennessee in the memory of Myrtle Swinney.
