Westwood Soccer Falls at South Franklin

The Westwood soccer team stepped out of conference on Tuesday for a match in Winchester with South Franklin. South Franklin used a goal late in the first half to power them to a 3 to 0 win over the Lady Rockets.
Westwood keeper Alana Coker stopped 11 shots in the first half, but a South Franklin goal in the 27th minute put the Lady Rockets in a 1 to 0 halftime hole. South added goals in the 39th and 42nd minutes to hand the Lady Rockets their 2nd straight loss. Westwood’s record now stands at 1 and 2 on the season and 1 and 1 in conference play.
The Lady Rockets will travel to Fayetteville on Thursday for a match with the Lincoln County combined team. That non-conference friendly gets underway at 5 PM.
