UPDATE–Lockdown at Two Manchester Schools on Wednesday

On Wednesday afternoon Westwood Middle and Elementary schools in Manchester were placed on lockdown around 2 p.m.
Someone called police and reported that a man armed with a gun was near a home on Oak Street just before 2pm. The subject fled before their arrival. Donald Corey Myers age 33 of Carter St. in Manchester was captured a short time later and taken into custody.
The arrest warrant says that Myers broke into a home and threaten the occupants if they didn’t produce drugs for him.
The lockdown by the schools was a precautionary measure after hearing from Manchester Police.
Myers was charged with aggravated assault with his bond set at $150,000 and his court date will be September 27.
