The Raider and Lady Raider tennis teams spilt a match with Tullahoma on Tuesday night as the Lady Raiders claimed a 6 to 1 win while the boys fell 4 to 3. In girls’ play Maddie Taylor, Ai Shelton, Kayla Wright and Makayla Morgan all captured singles wins while the doubles teams of Shelton/Taylor and Morgan/Wright were also victorious. The win improves Coffee County to 7 and 5 on the year.
In boys’ action, the Red Raiders built a 3 to 2 match lead in singles play only to see Tullahoma sweep the 2 doubles matches to get the come from behind win. The Red Raiders got wins from Jared Hu, Reid Lawrence and Grey Riddle in singles action. The loss drops the Red Raiders record to 6 and 6 on the season. The CHS tennis teams are back in action on Thursday when they play host to Blackman at 4 PM at Fred Deadman Park.
