Holding the White County Warriorettes to only 4 hits while banging out 13 hits of their own was the way the Coffee County Middle School Lady Raider softball wanted to open the CTC Tournament on Monday at their home field with a 15 to 1 win over the visitors from Sparta. After taking a couple of heartbreaking losses last week to Tullahoma, the Lady Raiders hammered their way to a Tuesday rematch with the Lady Cats in the 2nd round of the tournament. Coffee County got a pair of doubles and a single with 3 runs scored from Sarah West to lead the hitting attack on Monday night. Gracie Pippenger was 2 for 3 with a triple while Ashley Evans was 2 for 2 and reached base after being hit by a pitch to score 3 runs for Coffee County as well. Maci Head was the winning pitcher for Coffee County as she did not allow an earned run. The Lady Raiders will now take on Tullahoma on Tuesday in the 2nd round of the CTC tournament at CCMS. First pitch is scheduled for 6 PM.
