Karson Young lands on triple jump at a recent meet
The Raider and Lady Raider track teams of Coffee County CHS competed in the Early Bird Championship Track Meet at Riverdale on Saturday as they squared off against athletes from 16 other schools. The Lady Raiders once again had strong showings in the hurdle and field events. Karson Young had the strongest showing of the day as she won the triple jump with a jump of 32 feet. Young also had top 5 finishes in the 100M hurdles, high jump and long jump. Sarah Pearson had a 2nd place finish in 300M hurdles to go along with top 5 finishes in 100M hurdles and the high jump. The Red Raiders were led by Reece Pratt who had a 3rd place finish in the shot put and a 4th place finish in the discus. The track teams are back in action on Tuesday, April 5th when they travel to Crossville for the King of the Mountain Meet held at Stone Memorial.
