Red Raider Baseball Rallies for Huge Win at Lincoln County

Trailing by a 3 to 0 score entering the 5th inning, the Red Raiders clawed out 6 runs on 7 hits in the last 3 innings to claim a big 6 to 3 district win over Lincoln County on Tuesday night in Fayetteville. The Raiders tied the game in the 5th with a 2 out rally as Noah Anderson had a 2 RBI triple and was driven in by an RBI single from Deandre Wakefield. The Raiders added 3 runs in the 7th when Wyatt Day drove in Cade Giles with a single before Coach David Martin scored Nathaniel Tate on a double steal. Alan Rob knocked in Day with an RBI double to give the Raiders their 2nd district win in a row. Giles and Tate each finished with 2 hits on the night including a triple for Giles. Bradley King pitched 2 innings of hitless relief to get the win for Coffee County. The Raiders return home on Wednesday night for the 2nd game in the series with Lincoln County. Wednesday night’s game has been designated as William J Myers night and Retro Night. The Myers family will be on hand to throw out the game’s first pitch and to help raise money for the William Myers Memorial Scholarship fund.
