The Westwood Lady Rocket softball team banged out 10 runs on 10 hits Monday night but it was not enough as they fell 17 to 10 to Riverside Christian in their season opener in Fayetteville. Hallie Wimberley led the Rockets as she was 3 for 3 with a walk and 4 runs scored. Haidyn Campbell was 3 for 5 from the plate with a run scored. Amber Smith was 2 for 3 with a walk and 2 runs scored and Talia Dillard was 1 for 3 with 4 RBI. The Lady Rockets will play again on Tuesday as they travel to Shelbyville to take on Liberty. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
