The Westwood Lady Rocket basketball team roared out to a 19 to 0 lead after 1 quarter of play on their way to a 42 to 8 win at Fayetteville on Thursday night. Eleven different Lady Rockets tallied points as Coach Angela Houck emptied her bench. Ashley Starks was the leading scorer for Westwood as she netted 9 points and Karen Medina added 7 with each playing limited minutes in the game. The win improves the Lady Rockets Record to 5 and 1 on the year.

Trailing by 2 points entering the final period, the Rockets held Fayetteville to two points in the 4th quarter on their way to their 3rd straight win by a final score of 41 to 31. Jake Hollandsworth finished the night with 12 points for Westwood, including 5 points in the 4th quarter. Collin Ward added 9 points and Shawn Anderson netted 8 as Westwood outscored Fayetteville 24 to 11 in the second half. The win evens Westwood’s record at 3 and 3 on the year. Westwood travels to Eagleville on Monday for a conference doubleheader. The girls game will tip off at 6 PM.
