The Coffee County volleyball team got their 11th win in their last 14 matches on Tuesday night with a straight set sweep of Franklin County. The Lady Raiders struggled early in each of the 1st two sets before ruining Franklin County’s Senior Night by scores of 25 to 13, 25 to 8 and 25 to 9. The Lady Raiders were strong at the front line as they served 24 aces on the match with only 8 service errors.
Coffee County was led in aces and assists by Maddie Taylor who had 8 aces and 11 assists on the match. She also scored 5 kills. Diana Davis led the team in kills with 10, while Peyton Nicoll added 5 and Baylee Nester added 4. Nicoll and Bailey Morgan added 5 assists a piece while Makayla Morgan added 5 aces.
The win improves Coffee County to 18 and 15 on the season and 8 and 3 in District 8AAA play. Coffee County closes out the regular season on Thursday as they travel to Lawrence County for a 6 PM district match.
