Raymond E. Hittson, age 55 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, September 8,
2015 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. Mr. Hittson will be cremated
and laid to rest at Estill Springs Cemetery next to his father, as he had
requested. No services are scheduled, but a private graveside service for
family and friends will be held with Father Jean Baptiste Kyabuta of Good
Shepard Catholic Church officiating.
Mr. Hittson, a native of Fairfield, CA was the son of the late Charles
Edward Hittson and Gina Scapin Hittson of Estill Springs. He worked as a
carpenter and enjoyed being outdoors watching the birds and fishing. He
enjoyed watching western TV shows and movies. He was a kind soul who would
help anyone in need. Mr. Hittson’s family was very important to him and
he
loved them all.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal
grandmother, Linda Scapin and paternal grandparents, Hershel and Ollie
Hittson.
In addition to his mother, Gina C. Hittson of Estill Springs, he is
survived by daughter, Raylynne Hittson of Manchester; brother, Tyron
Hittson of Estill Springs; sisters, Linda Hittson Sorrell and her husband,
Orville B. III of Sparta, Shirley Hittson Edde and her husband, Keith of
Manchester and Catherine Hittson Gates and her husband, Kris of Odessa, FL;
nephews, Travis Sorrell and his wife, Stephanie of Cortland, NY, Matthew
Sorrell of Murfreesboro, Billy Earls and his wife, Deborah of Manchester,
Marco Earls and his wife, April of McMinnville and Wesley K. Gates of
Odessa, FL; nieces, Keila and Jessica Edde, both of Manchester; great
nephews, Keyson Edde and Ryder Earls; great niece, Sophia Sorrell;
estranged wife, Rebecca Hittson of Manchester; step-children, Christy,
Mikah and Dustin; step-grandchildren; aunt, Benita Depenhart and her
husband, Richard of Winchester; uncle, Walter Scapin of Venice, Italy;
cousins, Keith Depenhart of Virginia, Cindy Depenhart of Manchester, Kenny
Depenhart of Murfreesboro, Linda Depenhart Knoss of Indiana and many
cousins in Italy.
Mr. Hittson’s family would like to extend their gratitude to his neighbors
for all the loving help and support during his illness.
