Jerolyn C. Bennett of Tullahoma passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at
Bailey Manor in Manchester at the age of 85. Funeral Services will be held
Saturday, September 12 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Dr.
Herb Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Lynchburg Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 11 from 5 – 8 PM at
the funeral home.
A native of Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Lester and
Katherine Brown Cashion. Mrs. Bennett was a longtime resident of Tullahoma.
She was a graduate of Tullahoma High School and Middle Tennessee State
University. She was a teacher and taught 3rd grade at Bel Aire Elementary
School in Tullahoma for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Tullahoma and was very active in Sunday school and church
activities. She was also a very active member of DAR, ADK and the Bel Aire
and Coffee County retired teacher’s organizations. She enjoyed many
activities and loved to keep busy doing scrapbooking and spending time with
her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John
M. Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by two sons, Brian Bennett and his wife, Joyce of
Tullahoma and Matt Bennett and his wife, Karen of Maryville, TN; one
daughter, Bonnie Davis and her husband, Steve of Madison, AL; five
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bennett’s family would like to thank the staff of Bailey Manor and
Senior Advantage for all the loving help and care she received.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to
the Alzheimer’s Association, 201 W. Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388
